Vol 2 No 1 (2017)

This is the Volume 2 of the Southeast Asian Journal of Science and Technology, presenting a wide range of applied research and studies addressing local and regional challenges in the Philippines. Articles cover agricultural innovations such as production techniques for native cultured lapu-lapu, environmental assessments including solid waste management, mini-forest initiatives, and sustainable tourism practices in the Hundred Islands National Park. Educational research highlights implementation of practice teaching programs, preservice teachers’ views on the nature of science, competency assessments, and satisfaction with institutional changes at Pangasinan State University. Other contributions include community and local government studies on revenue allocation, physical and mental fitness programs, provision of basic services to relocated families, and the utilization of paper bags. Technological and ICT developments are also featured, including mobile-based service management portals, K-12 gradebook applications, Android game development, ukelele tutorial applications, computerized record management systems, and mobile ad hoc networking reviews. Additionally, studies examine business models of Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, change management in government information systems, and proposed interactive approaches for social studies instruction.
